About us

Woman weaving a carpetThe name “Arana” comes from the Iranian city of Aran-o-Bidgol. This city is located near the Central Desert of Iran and is known for its ancient history, which begins with the historic Silk Hills, which are 9000 years old. The word “Aran” means a sacred place, a tropical place and comes from “Arian”, another name for the Aryan people. The natives of this city belong to the Aryan race. They are beautiful, well-mannered, talented and hardworking people who have been weaving carpets for thousands of years. No other carpet-producing region in the world can boast of such an ancient carpet weaving tradition as our city of Aran-o-Bidgol.
As our brand name “Arana” suggests, we believe in the traditions and experience of generations that make our carpets unique. Each carpet is deeply imbued with rich culture and craftsmanship, while demonstrating modernity and impeccability.
Arana carpets are produced on the latest modern weaving equipment from world leaders such as Schönherr and Van De Wiele. These looms are specially designed for hand-woven carpets. These looms produce carpets with a crystal-sharp pile side and a hand-knotted back. Thanks to this, we can respond very flexibly to market demands and create innovative products that allow us to be one step ahead.
By creating our carpets at affordable prices, we strive not only to decorate and complement homes, but also to introduce our customers to the deep history of Iranian carpets.
Experimenting with colors and introducing innovations in textures, Arana carpets combine millennial craftsmanship and modern design, creating completely unique and at the same time incredibly versatile carpets.
